Finished Baby Hats

I'm gearing up to knit a few more (baby hats) for a newly married family member who is now going to be a new father! So here are two hats I knitted, both for my boss's kid to try out and see if I've got the right size hat! (Love that I have access to a kid to test out my knitted items!)

The gold brimmed, blue hat was the toddler size and was way too big for the kid! So I made the smaller baby size hat (blue brimmed, green hat), but I'm waiting to see if it'll fit.

The pattern is a modified version of the Simple Baby Hat on Ravelry . I added a purl row after 5 rounds of knitting. The rolled up brim fits nicely under the purl row. (Did that make sense?).

I'm planning on making at least two hats. Not sure if I'm up for making other baby items, though.

Both hats are very charming. That purl row was a good idea.

I love the contrasting edging- it's a very crisp design.

The hats are cute and fun. Nice color selection.

Very nice hats. The nice thing about baby items is that they knit up fairly fast. However, you can sure do lots of things to them to make them fun. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
