Another finished project

Here are some pictures of another project I finished recently. It started out as a shawl but ended up more like a vest. It is for a friend who wanted something warm to wrap up in on cold winter nights. She also wears it under her winter coat on those really arctic days when the temp drops to -35c. It was knit with 2 strands of wool and size 8mm needles. The pattern is the tweed stitch.

Wow, what an excellent concept! It looks very cozy as well as chic. What yarn did you use- I love that blue.

Love the color and the idea of the sleeves. It seems more practical than a regular shawl. Very nice work.

A wonderful garment for a Canadian winter. I am sure it is really comfortable. The sleeve idea is great because you can wear it as you work around the house.

It is practical and stylish. I agree with Albert, love the color. It is not just for Canadian winters . . . We are having quite a winter in Baltimore. I know several people who would want something like this project now.

The light blue is briggs & little that someone gave me and the darker blue is galway heather. I used a size 8mm needle.

Very nice, Paul. Most practical for layering and she can enjoy it inside a building that's a bit chilly. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
