Back now and getting settled

My week by the ocean was dramatic to say the least. The Saturday, Sunday and Monday that I was there was taken over by a "Nor' easter" storm that filled the house with howling wind, leaking windows, and made it impossible to light a fire in the fireplace. Through it all I kept knitting and completed about 10 inches (0n circular needles: USA 8) of the seedstitch, V-Neck sweater. Loved getting into the basic rhythmn of the K1P1 on a circular. But it is a wool blend sweater and now that the temps here in New England are in the 60's, it's going to be a while before I will be wearing this (or giving it away to someone else).

Got home from the week away on Wednesday, but been busy catching up with family and friends. Mom is 91 and lives alone, so had to see her first, and then my second priority is to spend some time with the hairy little guy who sleeps with me. I'm attached a photo of him in complete relaxed mode while I was sitting on the sofa with him and rubbing his tummy.

Next project I think will be the KAL clogs. ordered the wool, and until it comes it, I want to do a gauge for my next sweater, something in cotton/bamboo for my week in P'Town in August, which will be my next major time away for sheer rest and recreation.

BTW, the place where I was staying had WiFi, so I have been able to keep with with all the goings on here at MWK, but in the spirit of silence and reflection, I didn't post.

Your furry buddy was the epitome of "Zoned out bliss" in the photo. You must've given him quite a belly rub! Glad you had a nice trip. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
