Need some tips men – heading to Seattle for work in May (guess who I work for ?) and will have one free weekend downtown. I have been to Seattle before (and love the place) but that was before my knitting addiction took hold – so any good stores that are on the “must check out” list?

Also going to have a long weekend in Chicago (catching up with friends) – any stores there that are a must see too?

I can't help you there, but I have three guesses... Boeing, Microsoft, Starbucks?

Ok hang on to your hat your heading to Knitting nirvana. Seattle is one of my favorite travel destinations. there is so much yarn, just north of the market, Hill top yarn in the queen ann neighborhood. My favorite thing to do is to take the ferry to bainbridge island. The ferry terminal is just on the pier below the market. Its 6$ round trip. once you get there walk up the road to the little downtown and head to the most amazing shop in the world. Churchmouse yarn and teas!! make sure you give yourself enough time to shop., but don't miss the Ravens bakery for a little nosh and if you want a good dinner there are a couple of restaurants in town cafe nola is amazing.
head to my website for lots more details on things to do in Seattle.
I am going to be ther several times next month and I can't wait!!
you will have a blast no matter what you do tell them A traveling knitter sent you
