Love is in the air, Part II

Well Guys (and Gals!)
It's hard to believe, but a year ago Bradley (ksmarguy) and I were getting really excited about meeting each other in Las Vegas for the first time. Well, tomorrow morning, we set off for Vegas again from OUR apartment for our first anniversary trip! (OK, we're jumping the gun by a few days, but it's spring break, what can ya do?)

It's been an amazing year.... I began directing the choir I've sung in for years, meeting Brad, and the biggest change of all, him giving up his entire life in Kansas to move to California to be with me.

And not one moment of regret. None.

I'm happier than I've ever been in my entire adult life, thriving, (exhausted from Easter stuff, but that's to be expected...) and facing our future together with open and loving arms (even if I still can't turn a @#%^& heel in toe up socks!).

So... Once again, I'd (we'd) like to thank our MWK family for your amazing support over the last year, thank Darryl for creating this site, and all the new and wonderful friends we've made separately and together on this magical little off ramp on the information super-highway.

Peace, Easter blessings, and Love to all!

BTW, for some of our newbies.... Bradley and I met on MWK....! : )

Watch these videos for a great method of making toe up socks (including turning the heel--hint: It's just like the toe). If you buy the pattern, it's $8, but whether you do or not, the videos are free to view.

And congratulations on the first of many terrific years!

Have a great anniversary trip and know I send my love. It is so grand and heartwarming to remember - and observe - the joys of you two finding each other through our community. Blessings. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

You guys are just the cutest couple ever! Congrats and enjoy your trip! And although what happens in Vegas usually stays in Vegas, we'd love to hear all about your trip (ALL the juicy details) when you return!

I am very happy for you and know your excitement as we (Don and I) have just passed our 6 months together. Hope you have a wonderful trip and blessing to both of you.

Congratulations to the both of you! And it's awesome that you met on this auspicious site. My partner, Mike, and I just passed our 9 year anniversary this last February (holy cow, has it really been that long?) and I still remember what that first year was like. Have a good time, guys, you deserve it. And remember: What happens in Vegas stays... Oh who am I kidding? I agree with previous post. Juicy details!! Maybe even a pic or two. You know, just for instructional purposes. lol

Hey congrats guys, I'm sure this is just the first of many! Hey, remember to avoid the sweater curse though. Luckily, it doesn't pertain to socks so maybe you can get Bradley to make you a pair!
Hugzzz 8-)
P.S. If you can get your hands on the Lucy Neatby DVDs - Sock Techniques i and II you'll be making all kinds o socks in no time! They're available online or at your local library.
