So we got back from our anniversary trip last night around 7:30 pm. We are back at work today. The good news is I actually learned a great deal this weekend at the SoXperience by Carodan Farms on Chincoteague Island and there are only 40 days of school left!. It was great to see techniques up close and personal, complete a mini sock, begin a lovely lace sock, and just be with my wife and others who have a passion for knitting. They also do a Fall knitting retreat at Graves Mountain Lodge and my wife and I are already planning to be at that retreat. Tonight I plan on finishing the heel on my son's slipper socks ( I learned how to do short row heels and completed one this weekend.) Then it is on to finishing the Seaweed Sock which we began this weekend. I feel like I can take on more complicated socks now that I have this wonderful learning weekend under my belt. My wife is trying to arrange so that we can attend the SoXperience weekend every year. Well, my lunch break is almost over so, happy knitting. Photos to come soon.
