Here's the finished beastie...
I'm still so pleased with it- and blocking wasn't the nightmare I was anticipating!
Now if I can get up the nerve to try Mmario's "wedding peacock..." hmmmm....!
It's really beautiful! I loved it the minute I saw it on Jared's blog. What is the finished size? I can't wait to see it on the recipient!
That's beautiful! I picture the two of you knitting together and I have to say I'm a bit envious. :-) You did an amazing job!! Congrats!
Many (actually most) evenings are spent finding something good to watch on Netflix (lately it's been 24, we're hooked) and sitting and knitting. The evening is punctuated every so often with, "Hey, hon, pause, I need to count," or, "look at this, it doesn't seem right." Even frogging is a little easier when there is another knitter next to you to sympathize and cuss out the offending yarn and or pattern :D
It's amazing Eric!!! The color is so rich and compliments the stitches.
The Knitting Mill
I forgot to ask...what yarn did you use? Is it a gift for someone or did you make it for yourself?
the yarn is St-Denis Nordique, color is called "Rubywine." It's what Brooklyn Tweed did his original in. I worked it on 32" 7s.
I don't think I could pull it off. LOL.
I think Bradley's mom is gonna get it, but she doesn't know that yet, so don't tell her!
I love everything about this. It's an awesome piece of knitting and there is some serious envy going on here.
Yes I am dieing to know the weight of yarn andthe blocked measurements. It really is a beautiful piece of work!!!!
It's St-Denis Nordique, worked on size 7s, and it came about about 48x26".
Beautiful work. Gorgeous color.
That is absolutely amazing! Great work and such rich, deep color. I'm sure the recipient will be thrilled.
Great job! After completing this I'd say the sky's the limit - bring on the most challenging pattern - you'll have it mastered in no time.

Very nice work. I really like how it all seems to blend perfectly: Color, Design etc. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
