Knitting Needles on International Flights

Hey guys, I thought it would be nice to share my knitting needles experience on the plane from USA to Sydney via New Zealand.

SO disappointed we missed each other.... the weather was pretty crappy while you were here but I hope you had a good time X

I know, how did that happen? I guess you were traveling weren't you?

Thanks for the update Kenny. Looks like, despite all the information out there, you can never be fully confident of what will happen. We're still at the mercy of an overworked, underpaid security screener who's having a bad day. Would certainly be nice if there were actual consistent regulations we could follow and know what to expect.

Glad to hear everything worked out for you, though all that stress for very little knitting makes me wonder if it was worth it.

I never had problems with wooden needles or crochet hooks, I really don't stress myself out. My metal is in the chcked luggage. You can always do so much in the airplane besides knitting. sleep, read and yes crochet lol! I never bring any expensive tool that can be confiscated. Hopefully next time will be easier if you learned from this. You should have brought your Ipad or EReader with you. Glad you are back safe in Houston with all your needles.
