I decided to have some fun with this yarn. I picked up 2 skeins for $2 each, so made a pair of longer socks for my daughter. I used what Welden's calls a German Heel with a more rounded toe.

This was also the first pair of socks that I created a knit seam down the back, using a pearl stitch in the knitting. I think the overall effect is really cool. Sadly the details of the patterns don't really show up well in the photos because of the variegated colors in the yarn.

These socks were done on size 1 needles and seemed to take forever and a day to finish. I'm really worried about the current project being done in an even finer wool on size 0s. LOL
