Hello everyone. I haven't written in a long time, but according to my last blog I was making a baby blanket for a not-yet-conceived infant. Well, as of January - or really a month or so before - that is no longer the case. I am now making a blanket for a baby growing steadily in my sister's womb! This means I have a deadline now -- early September. As of now the blanket is about 32 inches wide and nearly 19 inches long so I have quite a ways to go. I love working with the "lace and fan" pattern though. It's easy to do, but looks brilliant. I would post a photo, but I'm too lazy to go up to my room, take a photo of it, and come back down to post it. However, I do have one photo of me knitting on hand.
This December I finished a stocking cap for a friar who was recently ordained to the diaconate. That is what I was knitting when one of the novices I live with asked for a photo of me teaching a Flat Stanley, whom he had received from his nefew, to knit. I wish I had a photo of the completed hat because it turned out very nice, but I gave it away before I thought to photograph it. This is the only photo I have of it in progress. Note the small stocking cap Flat Stanley has is progress too. Sorry the image is blurry.
