I so do not feel like working today, maybe that’s why I’ve been on MWK and Ravelry all morning. But I have read a lot about the Rocky Mountain Knitting Retreat, I so want to go, still working on getting David to let me go, we’ll see how that pans out. I would love to drive out there, only problem would be deciding what car to take. Apparently he figures a long weekend for a bunch of guys to knit, playing with sticks and balls is nothing but an orgy in the making. I told him I am not wanting to go in the hopes of having a big orgy, that’s why we took the cruise, I want to go to broaden my knitting skills, get some knitting done as I don’t have a lot of time at home, and actually get out and meet people, in therapy he learned he keeps me from making friends and has to stop doing that. It couldn’t be too expensive, the whole trip couldn’t be much over $500 I’m pretty sure of that. Okay so maybe after I do a ‘little’ shopping it may be a bit more than that, but that’s why I have my own checking account with a little extra money.
Well the wait and see is going to kill me…

Hey Gene...once you attend one of these retreats, your partner won't be as concerned about the orgy opportunities you might have, but he'll probably want you to shut up about it.

I find most of the guys that go are so enthusiastic, they bore their non-knitting parterns/spouses to death talking about it (me included).

My twin gets a bit tired of hearing about knitting but I figure it's only fair turnabout for when he goos on and on about one of his favorite pastimes. Same applies to all housemates, I'd think. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

Well I've been talking about it all weekend and am sure he is sick of hearing about it. I've got a few hours left today and if still nothing I will admit defeat and think about going to one some other time.
