Was I an inspiration?

I just read about a new Ann Budd book, over at 'Knitting Daily', where she had sock designers contribute patterns. The Cat Bordhi design features twisted slip stitches in the heel flap to tighten the yarn plies and shorten the slipped stitch. Something that is an integral part of my sock designs. So, since she was one of the judges for Think Outside the Sox [the contest that led to my pattern being published] I wonder if my technique inspired her or if she also unvented it? I may have to investigate this further...although I really don't mind that we use the same technique. If I inspired her, that is a bit flattering.

[edit to correct spelling for "Bordhi"...I never get it right.]

At least you know that she likes your method, whether it consciously came from you or not. That counts for something!

Sounds pretty plausible!! Flattering!

Thanks for the nice comments, Willy and Frank. My brother says I should find out how to contact her and mention it. I could do that but am pretty shy...and it isn't a problem because knitting minds think alike. Sometimes. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
