Hi Guys,

I'm new to the site and relatively new to knitting. I knitted a little bit as a child, we all learned in school, and I just returned to knitting this past Winter. I'm still doing pretty basic things. Lately, I've been just knitting blankets for the local animal shelter from donated scraps.

I'm interested in doing more charity projects, particularly for the Men serving in the military. Please pass on any details of current projects.

Also, I'm looking for patterns for undergear. I haven't had much luck searching online, although my search did lead me to this site.

I don't have the net at home, so it may take a day or two to respond to your posts or emails, but I will always respond.

Welcome! We are a grand community and you should find lots of help and support here. There was a big knitalong for boxers last year, you might find some followup in the older posts. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

Welcome. To both the site and the obsession that is knitting. You might want to try ravelry.com for the undergear as well. I've seen boxer, banana hammock, and i believe what was called a wanker warmer pattern on there before.
Good luck fiba brutha!

Hi Max

Welcome to the group - it is a fantastic bunch of talented men who are always ready to help and give encouragement! Have to agree that Ravelry has a great collection of stuff - there is even a jock swap group.

Thank you all for your kind greetings and suggestions. I am going to join ravelry. Never heard of banana hammock, but have heard of a banana sling. I buy and sell estates for a living and will have a booth at the Bear Fair at Roseland campground in WV this September and was looking to make a few things to sell there. Happy Stichin!
