Catch up

I decided when I got up today that the first morning off would be electronic catch up day. So here I am answering emails, making blog posts, and in general just trying to get caught up on things on lone. Yesterday after I got home from work was dog catch up. I washed the dogs, the cat, had a vet appointment and more importantly vacuumed and cleaned the house that had started to smell of river mutt.

In knitting news, I finally re-attacked knitting. That's right boys, I picked the needles back up. Mind you, I'm not working on a single darn thing that I need to get done. I'm just playing with a pattern that was picked up at the knitting retreat. It's a reversible cable pattern. Same on both the front and the back. The Blue on the Left is a hat with a green crown and the right is the scarf to match. But the good news is, I'm back at it. And I have a priority list. I will finish this piece, get the requested stocking done and the purple damask shawl in fingering weight done. Then I have the rest of the Christmas list to dive into. I'm getting there, I promise. I guess I just needed a summer heat escape from the needles.

On the note of blog updates. I do have another blog entry over at blogspot that I thoughts wasn't MWK appropriate. If you feel like e-wandering, come on over.

Hope you're all well, and those of you stuck in the heat wave, I hope you have fully functional AC and a stable power grid.

AAHHH...Q - Seeing a post from you is a heat wave buster if ever there was one. [Last night's rain showers also helped.] Good to see the progress on the cables. I like your cablework anyhow but those two things are looking great. I knew it was only a matter of time before the needles started clicking again. See you around. -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

Reversible cables are so much fun to knit and I love the colors you chose!

These are a couple of stash yarns I finally bisted out. It's about time i started whittling that down again.

I'm working on the same pattern with some of the yarn I got at MRMKR!! It's a fun one - working with some Rimu (with the possum from New Zealand) in the same green that you have. A bit tedious at this point, just about 1/2 way through, so I've had to start a third project. :-)

Wish you and Joe could come down to Denver today to watch Jack at The Recycled Lamg's fashion show! Hope you're well!

Lovely colors. It sounds like you had a good time at the knitting retreat. Someday I would like to go. Happy knitting.....Cullen
