Just back to work after a two week vacation. I do not have a home computer and missed keeping up with the MWK website. Twas a stay-at-home vaca and I had a wonderful time simply messing around. Finished a book, sorted through an immense pile of keyboard music and chucked 75% of it. Completed a pair of socks for a friend and have been knitting dish cloths for my partner as he is wearing out the old ones. Took him yarn shopping and let him pick out his colors. Seems that he prefers octaganal cloths to square ones. I have been knitting them on four, then eight dpns to proper size, and doing moss stitch or garter stitch edges so they don't curl too much. Partner was happy enough with them that he gave two away to a dear friend. Fine---I will knit more. Best part of returning to work was catching up on what everyone was doing and the news about the knitting retreats. Mayhap a retreat will be in my future!

Sounds like a great relaxing holiday.

Sounds grand. Glad that the partner likes your knitting enough to give the dishcloths as gifts. If you get to retreats, keep Rocky Mountain in mind...providing we have another...great fun and a nice location, too.

Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.
