Socks for myself!

I've been making so many socks for other people that I decided it was time to make a pair for myself. Winter is on its way after all.

Early this summer I had a friend coming from the US so I ordered a few skeins of yarn online for her to bring. One was from Mountain Colors. It's probaby the most expensive yarn I've ever bought but I really love it, and the socks. The colorway doesn't exist but they have lots of other really beautiful ones as well.

The pattern is Skyp Ribbed Socks, available for free on Ravelry.

Mountain Colors is one of my favorite sock yarns. That particular colorway looks great. I must warn your friends and family, though: Once you start making socks for yourself, their gifts will drastically decrease. At least, if you follow the same path I did. :-0

Hehe I started for myself but then started doing them for other folks and never seemed to get around to making them for myself again! But I will try harder...

These socks and those for your mom are beautiful. Nothing prettier than a pair of hand knit socks.

They look great! Can't wait to try making some socks myself. As you said, it is getting cold out, warm socks would be great to have!

What a handsome pair of "autumnal" feeling socks! They look so cozy!
