Hi all-

I am having trouble uploading pictures from my computer to this site. Don't know what I am doing wrong, but nothing appears. Should anyone know what I am doing wrong, please help.

If anyone is interested in seeing what I have been knitting, please visit my blog at:

Well it is the end of the week, and I have finished one of my projects previously mentioned. My one daughter was looking through some of my pattern books and saw a shawl that she really liked. So, I put down her project, after working on it for 3 days. Oh well, let's see what she has picked out.

The Shawl.

I have finished my other daughter, "T's" shawl. This can be seen on my blog. The project went quicker than I thought. The only problem with this pattern is that the ends of the knitting needles got caught in the stiches. I had to be careful not to knit the shawl to itself. Which I did once and didn't understand why I the shawl looked as it did. I got so fustrated that I pulled the whole thing apart and re-started it and didn't put it down until I completed it. I should have used circular needles. T says that she really likes it.

The Sweater

Now that I have finished the one shawl, I pulled out a sweater project for myself that I have been working on for over 2 years. It is really a very simple sweater. Unfortunately the pattern of it is not that visible in the photo on my blog. It is a texture, ribbed, knit and purl geometric design. The reason I have not finished is this is for myself and I seem to like to make things for others. I think I will consentrate on this.

The BlanketI mention in my previous entry that I had taught myself how to crochet. A photo of the afgan blanket is also on my blog lower left is my finished product. Not to bad for my first attempt. I did have problems as could never remeber to count. I would just go on my merry way and low and behold my peaks and valleys would not line up correctly.

Well, that's about all I have this week. I want to say thanks to all who welcomed me. I don't feel so alone now as a man who knits.

The picture attachements for this site are a bit tricky. First step is to browse to find the picture you want on your computer. Then you have to attach that picture to your post before you submit your post. If you go back and edit your post you should be able to do that.

The crocheted blanket brought back memories. My aunt, who is now 90, used to crochet when we were kids. Everyone received one of them for their bed. I think mine is still on the bed in the spare bedroom at my parent's house.

Thanks for the information on attacking photos. Yes, I too remember those blankets as well. I have some that have been passed down.
