I started this last summer but put it away as I had other things to do, and of course because it is full of nupps (ugh) it was an easy decision to put it aside lol. It is called "The Greta Garbo Shawl"

It's a really beautiful pattern! What yarn is it?

Thank you all, the pattern is "The Gretta Garbo Shawl", there are many variation of it, I believe Nancy Bush has one. The yarn is Skacel's Merino Lace. It is the finest I have worked with.

Just Beautiful. It is hard to pay a compliment to that, hardly know how to describe it. A terrific job. You did a marvelous job.

Yikes, Dennis. It really is full of nupps, but so deliciously pretty. I, too, am interested in the pattern and the yarn. It looks like a lace weight wool. Good luck. Are you a quarter of the way finished? Do you have snow in Nova Scotia?

Unfortunately Ron that is the first repeat of 5,plus the border is knit in 2 pieces and sewn on. I have not touched since the summer but dragged it today and plan on finishing it in the next few weeks.

Very nice, Dennis. I remember seeing that pattern and thinking it was a great tribute to Garbo, but Waayyy too many nupps.

Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

Very pretty! I'm sure it's going to look extremely beautiful when you're all done with it.
