Sometimes, I feel Blanche DuBois got it right: You always depend upon the kindness of others.
A case in point is a recent gift from Quinton a few weeks ago. We happened to see one another at a local coffee shop and he asked if I'd bought a camera yet. When I said "No." he offered to give me the Olympus digital he had just replaced. Needless to say, I was gobsmacked and could only graciously reply "How kind of you. Thank You. I appreciate it very much."
I've been learning the ins-and-outs of using it and find it suits my needs quite well. Now, I just have to figure out how to post things to the knitting sites when I don't own a personal computer. My one grandniece is a photography buff and another friend works with audiovisual media...I'll brainstorm with them for ideas and options.
So..."Thank You" again, Q. Friendship is a kindness enough, but having this generous gift takes it a bit above and beyond.
