Working on my first Lopi

VillageKnittiot's picture

So, I started a Lopi sweater out of the Lopi Magazine #31 called Jon. This is the progress so far. I've finished the body up to the level of the sleeves, now I need to cast on the sleeves, work them, then combine with the body to do the yoke.

That's beautifully, evenly, knitted!

Hi Kerry,
The sweater is outstanding! I just started a vest and wish now I had worked it in the round, but I am going to follow the pattern exactly. The next one though, I will do it in the round so I won't have to do seams. Thanks for sharing your work with us. Keep us posted!

Very nice, Kerry. Will the border pattern compliment the yoke section?

yes. it is a bit more intricate around the yoke. It reminds me of a fresnel lens Dark to light and back to dark again. The sleeve cuffs also have the same border as the bottom.

I think Lopi have the nicest colours but the wool is to itchy for me. I even have a problem knitting with it.....such a shame. You are making great progress, I look forward to seeing the finished goods.
