...not since I made this heart that was featured on Knitty! Heheehe...

This was a really fun and quick knit. Now that I've made it, I'm not sure what I'll actually do with it. But I loved the three-dimensional, almost sculptural quality to it.

Plus I wanted to make something fairly easy after the very involved hermit crab I had just completed and this was the perfect follow-up. Now...what to make next?...

Wow! I was expecting the traditional heart-shape, not anatomically correct. Great knitting.

Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

Thanks! Yes, I loved the more anatomical approach, even if it isn't exactly accurate. :-)

Both views of your knitted heart are amazing. I am going to print them out and share them with our science teacher. He is also an artist so should get a kick out of it. He teaches a unit on the organs of the human body; usually the internal organs housed in the torso. I'm sure he will get a chuckle out of it. You did a beautiful job with the heart!

That's cool. Gave me a laugh.

"You done stomped on my heart.
And you mashed that sucker flat.
You just sortta stomped on my aorta..."

Beautiful work!
