Colorful gloves

I just finished these gloves. When I saw the Trekking Color 100, I knew I had to have some of it, but I was thinking at the time I'd make socks. I decided it was too cool to be walking around on all day, so I made some gloves using _The Knitter's Handy Book of Patterns_.

I love that they're not identical. It gives them great character. Nice use of the yarn and it looks like you did a very tidy job. (I sound like a teacher, foo!) Good work, child. (Patting head.) Gold star and top marks for use of materials. Extra biscuit for you today at tea, WITH extra raspberry whip. :)

Great job! They're beautiful! And I love that book - I've made mittens and socks from that book!

LOVE 'em!
...tell us more about the yarn...where's it from?

My pleasure!

I got it at my local yarn store, Knitorious ( It's called Trekking XXL, made by Zitron, based in Wickede, Germany. This is color #100. It's 75% virgin wool and 25% nylon, 2 1/2 oz = 459 yards. If I'm decoding the label correctly, one can wash it at up to 30 degrees celsius without bleach, iron it on low, dry flat... or just dry clean it.
