manly art of knitting, reprint

just saw that dave fougner's 'the manly art of knitting' is being reprinted by adbusters, after being out of print for decades. originally released in 1975 it's a hit-or-miss for actual technique and usable patterns, but total hit for the kitsch factor... anyway, the amazon link is with a projected availability of july 15. enjoy :)

Nothing more manly than knitting a horse blanket. I wish I could quit you!

Mill: What a joy it is to see you back on the site once again. I (we) have missed your wonderful creations, sense of humor, helpful directions, and encouragement. John

I put my original (sniff, sniff) copy of this tome next to my original edition of Mots D'Heures: Gousses, Rames by Luis d'Antin van Rooten. For those unfamiliar with the genius of this hallowed academic and bon vivant, here is a small, delicate be savored and read by readers of the French tongue and experience rearing young children.

Un petit d'un petit
S'étonne aux Halles
Un petit d'un petit
Ah! degrés te fallent
Indolent qui ne sort cesse
Indolent qui ne se mène
Qu'importe un petit d'un petit
Tout Gai de Reguennes.

Both works bring tears, yes, tears to these rheumy eyes!

Every person I encounter teaches me more about myself. Without whom not.
