hey all,

i stumbled into the inaugural issue of menknit.net's webzine from fall of 2005, but can't find any other issues. the first one came through a link on a ravelry pattern, and had to be accessed via the wayback machine or web archive:

or with preview http://preview.tinyurl.com/mtq8kwy

if anybody's got information on more issues, i'd love to know. thanks!

There are the two editors shown -- Michael DelVecchio and Dan Vera, with their email addresses. Have you tried those?

I also found that issue awhile ago. I don't think they made any more issues. I like the work they did in that one issue.

I remember seeing that issue years ago and I think that was the only one. Too bad they couldn't follow through because it was rather good.

I'm pretty sure it was the only issue; but Mike DelVechio would know for sure.

MMario - I'm not divorced from reality - we're having a trial separation

thanks for the comments/updates guys... i have del Vecchios 'knitting with balls' from the library again. going to finish that bootcut sweater by next winter. or the winter after.... ;)

I asked Franklin Habit (who contributed an article to the inaugural issue) if he knew what happened. Here is his response:

HI THERE - I DON'T REALLY KNOW WHAT HAPPENED, NO. I THINK A SECOND ISSUE WAS PLANNED, BUT DON'T RECALL THAT IT EVER MATERIALIZED. ONE OF THE FELLOWS WHO WAS ACTIVE ON MENKNIT.NET MIGHT RECALL - I THINK I HAD A MEMBERSHIP BUT ONLY VISITED ONCE OR TWICE.

Maybe it's time someone started up an new one???

Alas, the failure of educational television...Jay Ward's noble creation, The Wayback Machine, finder of forgotten and lost internet creations and creatures has been replicated , electronically, on The Internet Archives.

The pdf files for both editions are there.

We had a discussion about it here a while ago.

Every person I encounter teaches me more about myself. Without whom not.

Wow...thank you -- this is great!
