Basketweave Hat

This was the first project where I have knitted in the round. I bought an Addi Turbo Circular needle (love it) to knit this. Although intimidated by the thought of using DPNs after decreasing for a while, I jumped right in and found it to be nowhere near as daunting a task as I'd expected. I used bamboo DPNs because I have a horrible fear of my stitches sliding off my needles. LOL

I was, overall, OKAY with the hat, but not greatly pleased. I think the pattern was written incorrectly but didn't notice it until I had finished a third of it, turned it inside-out, and gave the thing a gander. Nevertheless, I don't think it looks half-bad, really. Hopefully its recipient won't be too horrified. LOL Attached an image of the hat on my head.

It looks great and nice on you, too. I'm positive the recipient will love the gift.

It's a nice hat and a good try. Now you have found DPNs and circs. not frightening you will not want to go back to flat knitting.

Great hat! I have yet to try one. Where did you find the pattern?

I bought it at the local yarn store I frequent. According to the information on the pattern, the people at the yarn store created the pattern!
