Hufflepuff 40% done

I have so many projects going and no time for a sweater. I think that once I get done with my scarves I will be making a sweater. So the cable sweater in green that I was making is going to be frogged and turned into a baby cabled blanket. Since it is acrylic it will work find. I just don't have time for a sweater at this moment, maybe two months from now.

On the other hand I have 6 scarves to make, 4 knitted One Gryffindor, One Ravenclaw, this one here, and the Irish Hiking Scarf in Lime green,, and 2 crocheted one Gryffindor and one Slytherin, they are for a Crochet Group in MSN that I belong two and Run, it is a Harry Potter Scarf exchange.

This one here is coming along nicely. Once it is finished and shaped and blocked, the imperfections will be almost imperceptible. I will be folding the scarf where the imperfections will be less noticeable. Write now I have about 24 inches, 60 something cm on ths scarf along. It will have my "Hand Crafted by label" as well which sometimes placed in the right place can help disguise imperfections. It definitely needs to be blocked. I am making this scarf in a circular, or rather spiral form and I have learned a lot about knitting in the round with stripes. Thanks for stopping by.

Remember - if you can't see the flaw when it's flying past on a Quidditch Seeker then it's not a flaw.

You are so funny Mario. It is the fact of making hand crafts sometimes and trying to make a spiral into a circle ha ha ha. Thanks Mario!

I have done a ton of those scarves. They are great easy knitting for when I don't want to pay attention to what I'm doing. I do a jog-less jog at the color change, that is I knit a round in the new color then when I com back to that first stitch I pick up the stitch below and knit both. You can google jog-less jogs for a better explanation and probably an online video of how to do it. I also flatten the scarf withthe color changes on the fold and they are barely noticeable.

I believe the saying goes, "if the Gryffindor seeker flying by on a Firebolt can't see it, then is it really a flaw?" LOL

That's exactly how I got started knitting. Making a Griffandor for a Potter maniac of mine. Then they changed the pattern!

Yep, first project was a burgundy and gold Gryfindor scarf. My goal was to have it finished by the time we had the Midnight Magic party last month. Sadly, I was too new to get it tackled in time. Sigh.
