I haven't been active on this board for long, but I have a "Tradition" to offer.
A little history:
One of my other hobbies is home coffee roasting (Mmmmmmm).... Anyhow, on my coffee roasters' list, we have something called a "tradition" where people offer things to the rest of the list. Sometimes it's something new (once I won a book!), other times it's something used that someone else may be interested in (say, an espresso machine, or a small roaster, etc.) In any case, a general tradition follows a couple of rules... (1) It is offered to anyone with interest, all they have to do is ask, (2) It is free, doesn't cost the winner anything, and (3) it's intended to help foster good will among friends.
This isn't the "tradition" on MenWhoKnit, but I'd like to offer one anyhow.
I'm offering 2 (50g) Skeins of Patons Kroy Sock yarn (4 ply, 75% Washable Wool, 25% Nylon)
. . . [Of course, these are NEW]
. . . [No one in our house smokes]
. . . [We have a dog who doesn't shed much and no cats, so there's little chance of dander]
Each Skein typically makes 1 sock (so you need both for a pair). It's not a fancy yarn, but it makes a nice pair of socks and it's a good way to give it a try, if you've never done it before. Of course, you can use it for whatever you want, if you win.
I'll drop a top-down sock pattern in, if you want it too - just let me know.
What do you have to do? Well, if you want in, drop me an e-mail at: email@example.com
I'll pick the winner on Monday by putting all of the names in my favorite coffee cup (after cleaning and drying it, of course) and shaking it until one comes out....
Why am I doing this? Because I bought these in bulk and have a few extra AND because this board has been great fun to me and I'd like to offer something back to y'all.
Disclaimer: I have no connection Patons and no commercial interests in this.
Grace and Peace,
