FO: my first hat

Inspired by a number of you guys - I made my first hat; something I've put off and put off for years.

This will join a scarf and be sent off to my japanese nephew-in-law

Heh, why did you put it off for so long? I like the color... very icy and winter-ish. Is it a specialty yarn, or something easily obtainable?

ohhh it looks fuzzy :) I agree with Celowin, looks very winterish. Good job Mario.

very nice!
...is the lace hidden inside????

That's a great looking hat. As Bill, I wonder if you pull a string and it turns into a lace shawl.

Looks great! I've been on a hat knitting kick of late LOL I like them because they're quick and easy projects.

Good for YOU! I remember making my first hat, and being surprised at how easy and quick it was to make...the fact that the hat I made was a miniature hat, worn by my nephew's teddy bear is neither here nor there!

I meant to check the ball band - yes, it's a "standard" yarn...I just don't remember what. Only took one ball, too - which is nice.

Always an achievement the 'first' of anything. Well done Mario.

I checked the ball band - Rowan Kid Merino. Which is why it's sorta fuzzy.

Beatiful hat, Mario. I'm sure the wearer loves it. Going to make a matching, lacey scarf to go with it? Manly lace, of course!
