Women's Scarf Patterns? Other online pattern repositories?

I'm planning to make a scarf for my wife (once my current project is finished... no, I don't have an attention span ;), but I'm having a heck of a time finding decent patterns online. I've come across a few here and there (in particular, this simple cabled scarf), but not that many, otherwise. So, any suggestions? Any online pattern repositories that people recommend (preferably with pictures of the final product :)?

www.knitting.about.com has a decent 'stitch library.'  I've used some of those stitch ideas to create scarfs.

Bizarre.  When I first went there, I somehow completely missed the whole section containing "Patterns For Scarves With Pictures".  Thanks. :)

Crystal Palace Yarns has a huge collection of free scarf patterns on their website: http://www.straw.com/cpy/patterns/newscarves2002.html (sorry, I can't get the hyperlink function to work on my computer at the moment).  In fact, they have a really large collection of free patterns of all sorts, all with pictures as far as I can tell.

The only caveat being that all the patterns are written for Crystal Palace Yarns.  BUT, don't let that stop you if you find something you like.  It's easy enough to find substitutes or similar yarns in your local yarn shop if they don't have the brand or yarn called for in the pattern.

You don't even have to use the same type of yarn.  I knit a glove (just one) from a Crystal Palace pattern that called for their Rayon/Cotton Mikado Ribbon.  Cotton just doesn't seem like a really good choice for gloves to me...so I substituted Lambs Pride Superwash (100% Wool) and the gloves, or glove rather, looks great!  I may actually finish the pair!

Here are a few more ideas...

Barb Burri has a really nice scarf pattern posted on her website that would make a beautful gift.  The pattern is by Myrna Stahman.  I'm planning on knitting this as a Christmas gift: http://www.burri.com/CrisisKnitting.html

If you go the the Free Knitting Pattern Netring, you can type scarf into the search at the top of the page or just wade through the 180 member sites.  You may not find the perfect pattern, but you are bound to run across something interesting: http://www.ringsurf.com/netring?ring=knitring;action=index

Finally, if you can't find the right pattern, here's Barbara Breiter's article on designing your own scarf from knitting.about.com: http://knitting.about.com/library/weekly/aa092203.htm

Let us know what pattern you finally went with!
