Still almost finished

MMario's picture

But a lot closer now, 3/4rths of the Armada is off the needle. the fourth side is on the 60 inch circ I've been knitting it on - and takes up most of the needle - so this is going to block out at a good size.

12/26 - finished casting off yesterday - but no more pictures until I block it. MM

What a beautiful shawl

that is beautiful Mario do can u post the patterns

It's very impressive before you block it, and the colour is fabulous. Who is the lucky recipient of this one?

MMario's picture

the "big boss" - (wife of my summer employer) - and since her Husband is Don Juan, Prince of Spain, I got the idea to do a 'Spanish Armada' shawl.

If I employ you this coming summer as my pool cleaner will you knit one for me?

MMario's picture

That depends - what does it pay? *grin*

Minimum room and board - the rest is open to negotiation.

If Mario doesn't take the summer job, can I have dibs on it?

You definitely get first refusal after MMario.

You know MMario, if you ever run out of people to give shawls to, I'd be more than happy to volunteer *smile*
It's beautiful.

The pattern is posted as a download on my blog post "no one expects the spanish armada" - but I would caution - the current version probably has errors. Another group of lace knitters is proof knitting it for me...and they found way too many over Xmas! (version "e" posted 12/26 - corrected through round 79)

version 'F' posted 12/27 - theoretically correct - but not proof knit.
