Another pattern that gets a lot of use...

...the Fiber Trends Felted Clogs.

I've made probably ten pairs of these things. I don't always take pictures to show though (sorry!). They are often given to their grateful recipients as soon as they are done. I did these in the Lion Brand felting wool with black eyelash stuff for the cuffs. I've never gotten a pair to come out exactly the same. One always seems to have some rumples and rumpties that just won't come out. There were more of them in this wool. Here's some before and afters. I think I'll stick to Cascade 220 for most of these from now on.

ha! you dust the floors with those while you wear them?

Reminds me of the name of Phyllis Diller's autobiography...Like a Lampshade in a Whorehouse...or perhaps they just remind me of Phyllis Diller herself.

Ha ha!! They are kind of gaudy, aren't they?

These are getting soles (fabric with little rubber dots), but I have some people tell me they do a lot sliding, moonwalking, etc. on hard wood floors in their clogs!

EUREKA! I finally begin to see a purpose for that strange "eyelash" stuff that ppl call "yarn"...... first I laughed.
And then....I kinda wanted to see them on my feet!
I've just recently listened to one of Brenda Dayne's archived podcast segments extolling the virtues and bemoaning the frustrations she's experienced with this pattern. Now I have a renewed interested in thinking about making a pair!

Well done!

This is one of my all-time favorite patterns!
I wear my slippers all the time, every day....I'm wearing them now!

I saw this pattern years ago, but never would have thought to knit them until Chris started the knit-along.
It's such a brilliant pattern and people do such great variations! I love the eyelash yarn, AMBush.

I've made a few of these too and recently found one I'd started in a closet I rarely go into (yikes!). Did you felt them before adding the trim?

Aaronknits's picture

Nope, the eyelash yarn was worked with the two strands of wool for the cuff and them felted.
