silly novelty hat

This was done on commission and the client liked it but not on her. I thought it was fun but maybe a bit too much for a middle aged women in the midwest. So now I have to come up with something less flamboyant. Damn!

Isn't Stacy a cute hat model. I think I'll use her again.

I may be in the minority but it does not look too silly. With a nice black coat.....

I think it's pretty cool! I am going to make some chemo caps to donate to our local hospital and I just won an auction for 24 skeins of eyelash yarn on ebay for $6.50 with shipping cost of $18.00 from Canada. The hats are called "Bad Hairday". Stacy is very cute in the hat.

Personally, I think she looks quite good in it. I agree with Tucker. Also, maybe matching cuffs for the coat to tie it all together.

I have a number of 20 and 30 something nieces that would grab and wear that hat in a second!

To me it has a very British flair

Yes! it has a Diana-ish look

That should put the kiss of death on it.

Thanks guys. I love making womens hats, they're so much fun. The hard part is convincing them that they look good in them and to get them to wear them properly. I keep telling them a poperly worn hat must impair your vision - DO NOT wear it to the back of your head like a halo.

SCOTT,

THAT IS ONE CUTE MODEL YOU HAVE THERE. THE HAT IS NICE TOO. DAMN GOOD WORK SIR!
