I managed to call into "I Knit London" yarn store this afternoon, now that they moved to their new location next to Waterloo Station last Saturday. I usually make my yarn purchases on-line, and the idea of being a bloke and walking into a yarn store is still a bit of a strange feeling. But at the risk of being outed as a male knitter, the trip was well worth it. Inside the store is a good range of yarns, a good selection of books and a supply of (up-market) needles.
Service was friendly without being gushing and there was a steady influx of customers. I'm slightly ashamed that my small purchase won't have had much of an impact on their turnover, but maybe next time I'll pick up some of the natural chunky wool I found difficult to put down.
