It was raining yesterday, so I thought what a wonderful excuse to work on my sweater (Cable Guy from Son of a Stitch and Bitch). I knit an entire 400+ yd ball of Shi Bui Pagoda Bulky...I was working from button band to button band (no steeking on this one)...I had 3 balls and my hopes that I'd be able to complete my regauged design before I ran out quickly looked unlikely, as I had about 1/2 the body done with the one ball, and still had two sleeves and the remaining half. Then, when I got home, I discovered that the two other skeins I had bought (onsale...the last they had) WEREN'T PAGODA BULKY!!! They were Pagoda aran (4 ply vs 3 ply) AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

All that knitting for naught. I tried to turn it into a length knit scarf, but it was too unweildy, rolled (of course) and wasn't long enough. It's pretty though: The idea was a good one, and I LOVE the colour. I'll frog it and use it for something else, I guess...

What a nice rich tweedy color....I'm going to have to check out this Pagoda yarn. Shame it didn't work out for this.

I got the name wrong...It's Shi Bui yarn...but it's Hiduji or something like that. It's not a tweed yarn... but kind of a nice watercoloury hand-dyed, and unfortunately, discontinued. :( !!!!!!!!!!
