Doily

this I made in the summer time for another friend of mine - for her Birthday - she was very happy for it. I found it on the net  at http://www.knitting-and.com/knitting/patterns/doilies/doily.htm

You are incredible, such patience. Have you made anything for yourself?

I write in english so we all use the same language. A very nice work! At first I thought if was croched but now I see that it's knitted. Or is it croched/ crocheted?

I did this as a shawl in Karabella lace yarn a few years back. It's a nice design.

Mario,

You are spot-on. I've got a bazillion miles of Tussah silk I spun up sometime in the last century that will be perfect for this.

Pretty straight-on recipe too, it looks like. That Sarah. She's a wonder. Herbie: You be DA MAN!

Absolutely fantastic. I have done a lot of lace knitting and this piece is exquisite. Keep up the good work.

BTW - there is a possibl KAL for this trying to start on the knitted lace forum.

Knittedlace.info under knit-a-longs and listed as 1940's doily.
