Dragon Scales Scarf

This is my version of the Dragon Scales scarf from one of the pages of a page-a-day knitting calendar. The pattern is also available on knittingpatterncentral.com. I used size 7 Addi lace needles and Elsebeth Lavold "Silky Wool" in a gold/sandstone color. I don't know how much of the yarn I used. The ball I pulled from an ample supply of this in my stash was formerly a piece of a sweater that never came to be.

The piece measures about seven feet long and about eight inches wide. I pulled it wider than the pattern dimensions when I blocked it to give it a more open appearance. Some of the YO holes on one end of the scarf (in fact, all over the scarf) look a little wonky due to my impatience during/disdain for blocking and partly due to my uneven tension. But all in all I think it looks fantastic. It's recipient is sure to think so too.

I recently "re-discovered" the mannequin torso while sorting through the storage room in my basement. I had forgotten that I still had it. It used to proudly display some leather apparel I owned when I wasn't wearing it. Those items ceased to fit me long long ago (physically and psychologically) and they were given away. I thought I had given away the torso with them. Now I'm glad I didn't!

Great Scarf!!!!!!

Very nice job on this scarf! I think it would have looked better on your bare chest than the manniquine torso. But that is just my wild imagination for you, lol.
