I often hear people in online knitting circles refer to "Rhinebeck". I am assuming it is some kind of Knitting or Fibre or Spinning show or convention or something like that. Could someone tell me a little about it? I gather it is a big deal. Is it worth going to? What happens there? I am assuming it is somewhere in the Eastern part of the United States. Thanks very much.

Alan, here's their website:

Don't know anything else about it except that I've also heard others talk about in online.

It's actually the New York State Sheep & Wool Festival that takes place in Rhinebeck, New York.

You can read all about it here:

I've gone for the last few years, and it's a fun show, but in the last few years it's gotten very crowded and I go mostly to hang out with my knitting friends. It's in a beautiful place at a very beautiful time of year.

OMG - I lived in Kingston - across the river, and never knew about it!! I saw Rhinebeck and thought, is there another?
