Ecuador Stash

I just got back from Ecuador and we went to the Cotacachi region where they are famous for textiles made out of Alpaca. I was able to find hand spun, hand dyed Alpaca yarn and the prices were crazy. In the picture the three large spools are three pounds each and they were $10. The hanks I found in an open market and they were $3 a piece. It was very cool to watch them spinning and learning how they dye the yarn. I think my stash is complete for awhile.

Wow, anyone who says he's not jealous isn't quite telling the truth. Great stuff, look forward to seeing what you do with it.

Oh dear God!! I would dump out every article of clothing in my luggage to make room for yarn like that at those prices!

The aqua and fuschia on the left are stunning!!

I did have to buy another carryon bag to bring them all back. But you are right - I wanted to keep buying and buying as I know I won't be back there soon.
