wow...... amazing work and detail. having just finished my first shawl, and using a simple pattern, I am really impressed. As for the mistakes, I count on the wow factor to help cover the ones that are to ofar back to fix :-) Congrats - Phil

Thanks for the comments. I actually do not worry about mistakes anymore. If it doesnt alter the shape of the item, I figure that it is just an "originality" that just makes it more unusual.

I knit from the point up. It was really easy. I just picked different kind of cable patterns and repeated them as I increased.
