A New Scarf For Me In The Works

Hey guys, long time no see. I haven't been here in quite awhile. I hope everyone is doing ok. I guess the reason I haven't been here much is because I haven't really been doing much knitting over the summer. I've been spending a lot of time outdoors and playing a lot of video games. I bought a Nintendo Wii this summer and I have become addicted to it. Those are two reasons I haven't been knitting much and the other reason is I just kinda got bored with knitting and other crafty stuff and so I quit doing those things for awhile. I guess I needed a break. Anway over the past few days I've really gotten to missing my yarn and my needles so I started working on this scarf which I actually started back in the spring. In the past two days I've already knitted about 12 inches on this scarf. It is a 1X1 rib scarf and I am having fun working on it. I realize now I've spent way too much time away from my knitting. Anyway I just wanted to show off my new knitting project. Some of you may want to know what the yarn is so this is all I can tell you about it right now. It is a brand called "I Love This Yarn". I bought it at Hobby Lobby a few months ago. I lost the label so I can't tell you the color but it is a self striping acrylic yarn much the same weight as Red Heart yarn, but feels softer, and smoother than Red Heart yarn. I am hoping to finish this scarf in a week or two so I'll post a new picture of it when I'm finished.

I'm glad you're back to your knitting, David. We really can't give it up, can we? I think this scarf is lovely. Thanks for sharing it with us.
PS: I like your new MWK nick.

Hi David, love the scarf the colors are great. I like you gave up knitting for a long time and then got back into it in January. I'm now totally obsessed with it. Great to have you back on board and am looking forward to seeing/hearing more from you.

he he... yeah, I miss Hobby Lobby dearly! A lot of people knock it, but they have some great stuff! Luckily, I found a Jo-Ann's and an A. C. Moore close by, so I can still get my cheap yarn! A 1x1 rib? Wow.... I started a scarf like that once.... wonder where it is now....

Hang in there! I'm eager to see it completed!
