Another beebee beenkee

So the pattern for the geometric squares blanket that I did a few months ago called for much more yarn than needed. I was able to do a little hat to match and then decided to just knit in circles until I finished all the yarn. I was able to do another baby blanket - it's a bit smaller than it should be probably, but I think you could wrap a newborn in it.

I like the colours - very "south-west"

I agree with Mario, very nice for south west. A simple design, I'm partial to anything with South West colors or patterns, and this fits right in there!

Great knitting. I, too, like your choice of colours. How many rows of garter did you do to finish it and were the increases Kfb?

Every color is made up of 8 rows, with Kfb on the 1st and last stitches of rows 2,3,4,6,7 and 8. The 1st and 5th rows have no increases. I was running out of yarn, so the last round of each color is only 4 rows wide and I did garter to finish up with the last round of yellow. Very easy.

Beautiful, I really like the colors also. A larger version would look great in my living room.

It is a great looking blanket. And I must echo the other knitters on the great use of color. What yarn did you use? What where your final dimensions? Lucky, lucky baby.

That's lovely. I like the idea of more sophisticated colors/patterns for baby items. It's a nice surprise and a break from the normal abundance of cute. I love it!
