Green eggs and ham...

Jason1978's picture

I knitted this scarf yesterday, it took me like 4 hours to knit and finish, as I started out I thought it would be nice, but something struck me as odd, I just didn't know what, it sparked some kind of memory...

Only when finished and looking at myself in the mirror wearing it did I think of Dr Seuss...i just need a top-hat and a tail...any Dr Seuss fans out there that are desperately looking to look like him???

I do not like green eggs and ham, I do not like them 'Sam I am"!

The Cat in the Hat also wore a red and white striped scarf, did he not?

Meanwhile. . .FOUR HOURS? ! ? It would take me a week!

Four hours... Wow. I must be slow. How long is it? And yes, it looks very Seussy. And, at Christmas, something Santa would wear!

Visit Crafty Andy's Blog It is amazing what one can accomplish with the right yarn, the right needles and the right amount of energy, it is a very cute scarf.

Okay...stupid question...how is that the scarf lays flat?

Is it ribbed? Drop-stitched? Doubleknit? A knitted tube?

Jason1978's picture

It's a ribbed stitch, but with a slight variation, twist the yarn around the right needle twice, but on the way back drop the stitch you made but didn't knit!
