More Cables!

So, I'm kind of obsessed with cables. Actually, if I remember correctly, I taught myself how to knit just so that I could learn how to make cables! Thankfully, I've learned so many other beautiful stitch patterns that I can't limit myself to just cable patterns; but I still try to master almost any that I haven't tried out yet!
Here's my latest prject: a cabeled hat. It starts at the bottom with a p1 k1 rib, then goes into the cables, and finishes off using a skp decrease. It was my first time using skp, and I think it worked out pretty well!
I wanted to make this hat in the round (for convenience), but I ended up working it flat with some extra yarn I found on size 5 needles and then finally sewed up the side seam.

It has an "architectural" feel to me. Love the look.

I'm happy to know that it's descent looking! I didn't think about that... I guess it does look kind of "constructed" if you would... especially with that color.

Thanks! It was a simple front cross cable and worked up pretty fast. the skp decrease caught me off guard at first, but I really like how it turned out.
