A taste of a "Hint of Color"

I call this the "Hint of Color Scarf." It's super luxurious Brown Sheep Burly Spun knitted together with an ultra-super-mega-thin strand of 80% mohair/20% nylon yarn. The tiny strand adds not only a hint of unexpected color but also a splash of texture as well. After blocking, this scarf is to DIE for, and I am almost thinking of knitting one for myself with the same colors to match a sweater I recently purchased. This is my scarf exchange scarf, so Shhhhhhhhhhh!

Mmmmm, I can feel the texture. I like the subtlety of the colors. You "purchased" a sweater?!! Break your needles and hang your head in shame!

Veni, vidi, kniti.

That is gorgeous, very elegant looking. I'm sure your spoilee will treasure it.

Very nice, really.

...and how 'bout a hat to match the sweater and the scarf? I wouldn't mind receiving something like that...

Nice colours, excellent yarn selection, good stitch-work so far -- do I sound like a knitting judge at a county fair, sharing the ribbon ceremony with a couple of old ladies?

...but yeah, so far, I like...

...and well, I'm really feelin' albert's energies and tryin' to make sure I read correctly...you recently WHAT-ed a sweater?

LOL I have not yet ventured into the wide, wide world of sweater knitting. I'm sure I'll get there eventually, but not yet...

Nice scarfing mister!

I buy all my sweaters. Years and years ago I used to knit sweaters. But now, since I'm addicted to lace knitting, I haven't yet found a lace sweater pattern that I'd want to wear, LOL! But am open to suggestions, I guess.

Speaking of sweaters, I wore yours the other day when we got our first snow of the season! It was super warm.

As for buying sweaters... LOL Frankly, I can get a super cute, ultra stylish sweater for far less than it would cost to buy the yarn to make the same item myself. Plus, if I had that much anxiety over a squirrel, I can't imagine I wouldn't go completely mad trying to knit a sweater that would actually fit!

Very nice blend of colors in that scarf! It's beautiful, and I'm sure the mohair will feel SOOO nice!

Don't fret about actually purchasing sweaters. I do it too, for the same reasons you do. Besides, if one of the dogs ruins it, I'm not out as much money (or time, or effort) as I would be if it were something I made. And the chances of a dog ruining something in this house are good!
