Scarf Exchange Update

I haven't seen very many updates posted for the Scarf Exchange, so I thought that I'd post one.

I'm not as far along with it as I want to or should be. I'll just say that between what has and hasn't been going on in my life, motivation and confidence are sorely lacking. I have about 11" of the requested minimum 72" completed.

After looking at a lot of yarns, I finally decided on Cascade 220 in a wonderful heather called Pumpkin Spice (#2453). I couldn't find a pattern that screamed "knit me" so I took ideas from a few other scarves and a sweater and designed my own. I tried to make the wrong side look less like the "wrong" side and more just like the "other" side. I don't want to spoil the surprise for my spoilee so I'll just post links to the photos for those who want to see them.

I'm moving slow with mine too. I actually decided to go with a more simple pattern so that I can hopefully get done by January 20th. I have some of the Pumpkin Spice yarn and I can't wait to knit it. That will probably be my next project. It really is a great color. The pattern looks great!

Beautiful yarn and knitting! Lucky spoilee!

I'm using some stashed Alpaca - a natural dark brown, in a cabled reversible. Hoping I can get it done.

MMario - I'm not divorced from reality - we're having a trial separation

That is a really gorgeous scarf! If your spoilee doesn't like it (doubtful) you can send it to me. :-)

I'm getting a slow start as well. I bought some nice, lace-weight wool, but the pattern I've chosen doesn't show well enough. I have some wool in my stash that I'm going to try next.

That looks awesome! Yet another scarf exchange scarf that I'm thinking, "I wouldn't mind receiving that." You know any pretty fiber will turn my head ::grin::

I've finished blocking my scarf and it looks quite yummy. My guy had a request as far as extras were concerned, so I need to go shopping for that. The package should be going out later this week.

Looks like lots of us are moving slowly! I chose a really nice gray-green Shepherd Wool and a simple chevron pattern for my buddy. 18" down ??more to go!

I am another who likes the color. I can almost smell the cinnamon. Cables look very nice too. I would be proud to have one like that.
