It's February - Is anyone still working out?

I know we said we were gonna work together on this. I'm down about 5 pounds since mid-December.

I've been using WiiFit to weigh in, but not to exercise. I got "My Fitness Coach" for the Wii last week. I'll tell ya - the WiiFit is a toy. The Fitness Coach thing will really put you through a good workout. Here's hoping. 10 pounds to my goal weight.

I still have too much of the "winter weight" to do naked yoga. Actually, I'm pretty shy; so, naked yoga wouldn't happen for me at all.

I'm still working out! I'm trying to gain some muscles, and I am seeing some results. It's pretty amazing because it's the first time I've been able to stick with it.
My parents have wii fit and they love it! I totally picked the guy trainer over the girl trainer when i was home over christmas doing the wii fit... The only problem is that he doesn't move his lips. He's got all the hand gestures and such, but no moving lips.

The new Wii game I using only have a female trainer, not a male one. :(

Am doing an early Spring Cleaning -- which is one of the best workouts I know... but when that's done -- today or tomorrow -- will be dropping the smokes for good and heading to the gym!!!

Back to work in two weeks, and I need to be able to keep up with the "kids"!

I quit smoking a few years back. You can do it! You'll be glad you did.

As far as fitness related activities, my personal favorite has got to be running naked in the great outdoors. If you haven't tried it, you ought to.

Oh, man we do need to bring streaking back. I haven't done it since I was 14.

Then there's always activities like this one: www.kaniksufamily.com/

Where does one find a place to do this. It would be my favorite activity were there a place in town.

One makes a place to do it. It's truly the happiest form of civil disobedience that I can think of.

Do other people ever run by you? Any reactions?

I used to live in a farming community town of 1200. One just has to leave town a little ways and head off down the farming roads, and voila, the shorts come off. My longest route was 4.5 miles before I was closing in on civilization on the shorts have to go back on. I was only seen once and the farmer in the pick up didn't even stop and/or say anything. I guess it was no big deal . hahahaha

Ouch. I haven't even started yet, and I was doing so well until around the middle of last year.

Well, somehow I've managed to gain 25 pounds since last summer. Most amout of "winter weight" I've ever gained. I suppose the left knee has really limited mobility lately. I find out next week whether or not it will require surgery.

Ouch.. My wife just finished ACL replacement and a bunch of other stuff. Essentially, her knee was hashed from an old high-school injury. She's now walking and doing much better.

Good luck!

I gained 25-30 pounds between July and December (UGH!) but am back on WeightWatchers -- I know, sounds crazy, but it works. Slowly, it's creeping down...

Grace and Peace,

Both my dad and my sister had to have ACL replacement surgery. Recovery was really tough for both of them. I really hope I don't end up with bad knees. I'd rather not have a screw in there.

I have a solution for all your weight gain problems if you're willing to go a bit to the extreme. It's done wonders for me. If anyone's interested in hearing more, send me a message. Kevin

My fitness programme has gone really well. I am still at my minimum weight in 15 - 20 years... and feel great for it ... oh ... well ummm... that was until last Thursday.

I was going to the gym regularly over winter, now doing swimming, cycling and running.

Yesterday at the school sports, my boss, he... yes... he ran around chasing me with a camera because he wanted photos of my legs... calves and thighs looking pretty muscular these days...

But ... the muscle didn't really help much on Thursday. I slammed my bike into the side of a bus. I had a green light to go forward, and so did the bus... but he suddenly decided to cross the intersection and then... stopped for a pedestrian... I couldn't stop in the space he had left me ... so I went up against the side of the bus. Left shoulder hit the bus, right shoulder hit the road and shit... my shins really hurt, still... after a few days... as my bike hit the bus, my toe clips release and the pedals slammed against my shins. I think the kids on the school bus were a bit shaken... and the bus driver said something politely in Turkish as he watch me drag myself off the road... then he drove off.
I didn't exercise yesterday... today I will run my dog 6 km ... there is a competition coming up in August that I might do.

So yeah, the fitness programme going well... I have athletic muscle... and the day I turned up in work in drag... all the women just said... 'why do men in drag always have better legs than us' ... who am I to argue...lots of muscle... but not too much... and my bf... he loves it...and the muscle too :)

If anyone wants to run naked... book a plane to Istanbul, domestic flight to Dalaman airport, and a bus to Patara... you got 18 km to run naked ... and then if you want to join me ... I tend just to run the sand dunes :)
