Quick Intro

Hey guys,

I just started knitting as a form of stress relief and have found the information on this site helpful. My first attempt at the knit stitch got turned into a beer cozy (I thought I should make it into something useful). I even managed three entire rows without a single mistake! I look forward to help, advice and sharing of ideas.

Welcome, welcome. Lots of fun things to participate in here. (And some of it is knitting - related, too.) Coming from a bit further south of Alberta, I know how isolating being a guy with knitting needles can feel in our neck of the continent. The sense of community found here helped fill a lack I never really felt until went away. Warning: You can get so wrapped up in being logged on that you find yourself knitting less! Enjoy!! -- Books, knitting, cats, fountain pens...Life is Good.

Welcome twice!

...and you've just begun learning how to knit!!!

(...or should I say "Welcome back!" it being that men invented the sport in the first place...and finally returning in our day)

Hmmmm...let's see how long it takes before it's impossible for you to put the needles down, if it hasn't happened already.

Good to see you and hope to see pictures of the things that you've made!

Thanks, all for the great welcome!
