OT -- Working Again!!!

Yes, indeedy, I'm back at work, but, still being able to log on during the day, and wouldn't you know it, still being able to KNIT!!!

...and wouldn't you know it, it's only my fourth day of mere training, and I already sold a hat!

Oh yeah, and, at 36, I'm officially the oldest person in training, to include the years younger trainer! It's worth it, though, it's credit counseling and they're training us for counseling the folks broken down by the housing crisis. I'll end up having three different certifications that I can take with me wherever I go, apparently -- I don't know the whole of it yet, it's only my fourth day of training, but, so far, it's exciting, AND I'm working again ($12 an hour means more yarn for the stash!)

...and it's a really good feeling knowing that I'll be actively helping to save someone's home, as well as bring DOWN this recession!

Training is wicked boring, though. I really want to get on the phones.

It's a 501c3 org and REALLY needed in this economy...so, at least I'll have a job for a bit of a while...I'm happy for the while, I think.

Hmmmm...I think I'll knit another hat.

(...yeah, the trainer's cute, too, so, this first couple of week's boredom is worth it.)

Congrats Robert, that's awesome!
Not only is it great that you're back to work, but you're actually doing something you can feel good about:)
(Not to mention still being able to knit @work, lol!)

Great news!

"A man may fight for many things. His country, his friends, his principles, the glistening tear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn." Blackadder

To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring-it was peace.

My next project will be your block sweater, I think, so you were on my mind. Glad to hear your good news and hope everything turns out ok.
