back finally..

Been working like mad. No time to post. Plus my key board space bar was broken and keeping me from typing because it was too much effort to fix everything after wards.

The one sock has turned into three. One of each with different yarns and designs. Nothing fancy. will post pics very soon. I am quite proud of them so far.

Some of the things being knitted on here are sure nice. Makes me very anxious to learn more and get up to par with the rest of you!

Not a race. it's suppssed to be something enjoyable. So relax and enjoy.

I know..but it isn't like that yet. God knows I enjoy it. The thing is I'm frustrated by how long its taken me to even learn the knit stitch in the beginning. Once i got it was like..woot!

Anyways live and learn...and slow down a bit too.

Keep practicing and it will all become second nature before too long. Don't get too self-conscious, you're at the level you're at and you'll move on with time. Worrying and getting frustrated won't do anything to help.

And post some pics of the 3 socks! Don't worry about it. We LOVE to see pics of works in progress...

thank you. I will be taking pics and posting them very soon.

MMario is right, it's not a race. Everything I make, even after this length of time is still a learning experience. (I just had a birthday and I am almost the number of an interstate speed limit!) One of my earlier knitting mentors, whom I thought was really quite sharp, told me never strive to make anything perfect, but rather perfectly wearable. Consider the small quirks to be "design elements". My only shortfall with socks was(is) getting the second one to look enough like the first to call them a pair! Lots of luck!
