Stitch Markers

So, one of my other hobbies is that I am a lampworker; that is, I make glass beads. I only make beads for jewelry designers but really haven't been producing too much due to my teaching schedule. My favourite type of glass to work with is borosilicate; what most people know as pyrex. The glass gives such unique colours and you never get the same thing twice.
Anyway, I was browsing the KnitPicks site the other day and came across beaded stitch makers. So, I dug through some of my old beads and made a few sets of stitch markers. These guys fit needles up to US 10.5.

Those are great! Far more interesting than the metal washers or boring plastic stitch markers I usually use.

Pretty! I am usually the one using the soft rubber rings, or even knotted strands of yarn if I'm really lazy, but those are really cool- I'd use 'em!

Nice, but no thanks. I'll continue to use the cigarette butts on fish hooks tip I saw in High Test(osterone) Knitting magazine. Got lots of 'em from my smokin' days.

Your borosilicate beads are just beautiful. The one thing I always warn stitch marker makers is to be careful how they finish the bottom...snagging of poorly finished stitch markers on the yarn can be more of a pain than a help.

Thanks for the nice input and inquiries about potentially selling them. I'm really picky about putting my stuff out for sale. So, no, I will not be selling stitch markers in the near future. However, I would really like it if a few boys could test drive a few sets and give me some feed back. You can keep the stitch markers too. Any takers?

I'd be delighted to test drive your fine markers! That was my evil twin writing those horrid words before. He will be punished.

I'd like to test drive some of them for you - but as a woman, do I qualify?

I'd love to learn how to blow glass...that's one of the things I've always wanted to do.

They certainly beat the plastic rings that I use as stitch marker, cheap but effective. The beads are beautiful.

I'd LOVE to try them out! You're going to get way more takers than you can keep up with, so ME! ME! ME! I mean, I'd appreciate the opportunity to try them and provide feedback, but completely understand if you don't have enough to...oh, hell with it - ME! ME! ME!

They are beautiful and I'd love to try some/buy some. Let me know if you still need testers/buyers.

I have to say that they would be a pleasure to come across as you are knitting. I have always wanted to try something other that the plain old marker.

Could you put up the instructions on how to make them.
